Chicago man sentenced to 30 months for fraud and identity theft
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - A federal judge today sentenced a 31-year-old Chicago man to 30 months in prison for bank fraud and identity theft. Prosecutors say Gbadebo Adebiyi used the names of two New Yorkers to open bank accounts with Citizens Bank in Rhode Island.

Student loans going up
A year ago, students and parents who borrowed to cover college costs rushed to lock in the lowest interest rates in four decades. Now those who haven't consolidated their loans under the federal student-loan program are being urged to do so before July 1.

MCC Receives Grant For First Generation College Push
(April 27, 2006)A $62,139 grant from the TG Public Benefit Grant Program will help find a program at McLennan Community College thats aimed at reducing high school dropout rates and encouraging at-risk students to become the first in their families to graduate from college.

Good debt and bad debt
A mortgage is usually good debt. Buying more clothes you don't need on credit is not.
